When picking a wedding venue, Helen and John wanted to choose a place that highlighted the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Undoubtedly, Mt. Hood is one of the loveliest and most majestic of Oregon’s natural gems. After visiting the Resort at the Mountain, Helen and John decided that this getaway tucked in the Mt. Hood wilderness was the perfect spot for their big day. Even the weather on their wedding day was profoundly Pacific Northwestern; cool, overcast, a little drizzly, and a even little sunny. Just as they did during their engagement session, Helen and John embraced the unpredictable weather by opting for an outdoor ceremony, which certainly worked out in their favor. Every photographer knows that clouds make for the best pictures and, looking back at their images, it seems to me that everything about their day popped with vibrant color and joy.
